Your children will learn how to cook (from scratch!) tasty and balanced meals with Flo, the founder of Kids En Cuisine and the author of Cook with Flo. The classes are designed for their little fingers from how to hold a knife properly when they cook, to taste their final dishes. A lot of fun and a unique way of teaching will make your children happy in your kitchen.

Flo created this recipe as she wants to teach to your foodies how to use spices in a right way and how to bring flavours without the hot side of the spices. A blast!

With this recipe, your little chefs will make a tasty dish for the whole family and will become more confident in the kitchen.  

INGREDIENTS:

  • 150g of red lentils

  • 3 tbs of curry powder
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbs of cumin
  • 1 tbs of paprika
  • A vegetable stock
  • 1l of warm water.
  • 1 red onion
  • Salt & black pepper

METHOD:

Dice your red onion and soften it in your frying pan with some olive oil, salt and black pepper on a low heat.

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the spices and add then to your fried onions. Keep stirring for 2 minutes.
  2. Rinse and pour the lentils in the frying pan. Sprinkle some salt and black pepper.
  3. Cover at level with the vegetable stock and stir some times to times. Keep the medium Heat.
  4. Your lentils are cooked when soft. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
