The Walters family have been farming at Bower Farm for over 100 years, so they know a thing or two about this glorious bird.
At the top of the Walters priority list is animal welfare and the turkeys are all slow growing breeds. Their diet is home grown cereals and they are absolutely free of any growth promoters.
They spend their days exploring the downland meadows and trees. At night, they are tucked up in a cosy warm straw bedded barn. Truly Free Range birds.

Cooking Instructions:
If you have a meat thermometer, the internal temperature should reach 67 degrees before taking out to rest and the temperature will rise to 70
Cook time: 45 mins per kg of breast roast
1.5 - 2.25kg 1hr to 1hr 45mins
2.25 - 3kg 1hr 45mins to 2hrs 15mins
3 - 3.75kg will take 2hrs 15mins - 2hrs 45mins
Method:
Preheat oven to 210 (fan), sprinkle your turkey with salt and pepper.
Place breast in roasting tin and cover loosely with foil
Cook at 210 for 45-60 mins, before reducing the oven to 170 (fan)
About 15-30 mins before the end, open the foil to brown the breast
Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil and rest well before carving
Ensure the turkey is cooked using a temperature probe or by checking the juices run clear
