Rich and smoky, bold and complex Moroccan-style tomato and paprika paste with pickled lemons. Adds depth to dressings and stews.

Smoked paprika and pickled lemons add a bold complex flavour to this Moroccan classic. Use it to add depth to any one pot dish, the classic tagine being just one example.

To use Belazu Tagine Paste, start by heating some oil in a large, heavy-based pan. Add diced onions and cook until soft. Stir in the Belazu Tagine Paste, allowing it to cook for a minute to release its flavours. Add your choice of meat, such as lamb or chicken, and brown it on all sides. Add chopped tomatoes, stock, and vegetables like carrots and courgettes. Simmer gently for 1-2 hours until the meat is tender and the sauce is rich. Serve with couscous or rice, garnished with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice for added zest.
