Belazu's small, fine-skinned, preserved lemons bring a beautiful fragrance to a wide variety of dishes. Beldi Lemons are hand sorted and graded for size and quality. They are then hand packed to ensure that the fruit does not bruise and retains its fragrant aroma. In 2012, these Preserved Lemons won 3 Great Taste stars from the Guild of Fine Foods, a coveted accolade awarded to fewer than 2 in every 100 entries.
To use Belazu Preserved Lemons in a recipe, first rinse them to remove excess salt. Finely chop the rind, discarding the flesh. Add the chopped lemon rind to tagines, stews, or marinades for a burst of citrusy flavour. Mix into couscous or rice dishes for a zesty kick. Blend with herbs, garlic, and olive oil to create a vibrant dressing or sauce. Use in salads or salsas for added tang. The preserved lemons pair well with chicken, fish, or lamb, enhancing the overall taste with their unique, intense lemony essence. Adjust seasoning as the lemons add saltiness.
